16 December 1873 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 16th December [1873]. Expected Aurelie to come & play duetts & to walk with me—she sent word she had a cold & could not come. Lesson of Inzenga– Clarita came while we were playing. I went out driving to try & see Aurelie & was not successful—neither did I find the Hamiltons but I did find Mme Bauer & had a long chat with her & also Emilia Riaño who is laid up with a cold & she gave me tea & a Vienna bun. Henry went to Mr Queseda’s to hear some trios played by Queseda, Mirecki & a violinist. | |
