19 January 1874 — Madrid | |
Monday. 19th [January 1874]. I copied a long despatch for Henry to send by the messenger which took me all the morning. It was a damp drizzly day so I embroidered & did not go out besides my cold was bad. Received in evening. Morets & Bernars came & very few more. It was with difficulty that they got a whist party. | |
