10 February 1874 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 10th [February 1874]. We hear that Ivor is standing for Glamorganshire. Painted all the morning & Esq. gave me a lesson. Took Henry to Quesada’s music & then went to fetch Emilia & we went together to see Mme Quesada’s collection of fans. We then went to the fan shops to see some new fans but they had none & I said I wd go another day. We took a turn in the Fuente & I got home at 5½. Hill was better & up today. We went in the eveng to the Presidencia—a few people there & we did not stay long as I had a headache & was glad to get to bed. | |
