14 February 1874 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 14th February [1874]. Got up late. Lesson of Esq: In the afternoon I went to pay Aurelie a visit. Found her better but not well. The Ayltons (3 women) came to call there also. I then went to the Fuente where I found Henry & then took & left him at Koudriaffsky & came home. Mme Koudriaffsky paid me a long visit. Brehm came in the morning. There was no post from England today. | |
