27 March 1874 — Madrid | |
Friday. 27th March [1874]. Worked away at my painting to try & get it finished before we leave for our trip to the South on Tuesday next. In the afternoon I went to see the Dss de la Torre & found her up & better. I took Mrs MacDonell out driving & we met Henry in the Recolletos & took a turn with us. The MacDonells dined at the Canitz & we went there in the evening– Did not play whist– | |
