29 March 1874 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 29th [March 1874]. I went to church & played the harmonium. We went to the concert at 2 & had to come back as it was put off till 3. We went to the MacDonells & persuaded them to come to the concert & took her with us. Silvela’s son arrived from Santander & yet no news was given– All kinds of things are said. The weather was hot. People to dine with us . | |
