Monday. 20th [April 1874]. We arrived 4 hours behind time & being so late did not care to go to bed so we dressed & Nety & I sat & talked & I worked at my frame work. Haggard came to see us also Count Maffei—later Mrs MacDonell & Mme de Canitz. Maffei came & dined with us—but we sent him off early as we were tired– | |
