30 April 1874 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 30th [April 1874]. Painted all the morng Esq. gave me a lesson while I was at work Emilia called & brought with her Sra de Torres an old lady we knew at Granada & whose husband we called the Miser. At 5 I went out having arranged to take out Mrs MacD: but by some mistake she had not waited for me so I went & called on Mme Bernar—found her better but not very well. The Riaños dined with us quite alone. | |
