Friday. 1st May [1874]. Painted all morning. Went out to see the Dss de la Torre to ask if there were any news & to congratulate her on the success– In the evening we went to the Canitz where there were some Alfonsist ladies who were very disdainful abt Serrano & declared that Concha had done more in 3 days than Serrano in 2 months. | |
