5 May 1874 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 5th [May 1874]. Painted & lesson of Esquivel but I was very headachy & could hardly get thro’ the lesson & I had to go & lie down. I was engaged to take Emilia out driving so at 5 I sent the carriage to fetch her & when she came I got up & went out with her & we went for a drive. Henry rode. Backgammon in the eveng. | |
