21 May 1874 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 21st [May 1874]. Painted & had lesson of Esq. Missie came abt ½ past 4. We had tea together & then we took her out driving in the Fuente where we got out & walked up & down. It was hot but overcast. We got home just in time for dinner & sent Missie home in the carriage. I played the harmonium in the evening & we played backgammon. | |
