4 June 1874 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 4th June [1874]. The new kitten was ill & we had to doctor him—finished the tucks of back of baby frock for Kate. Practised piano & singing. Had letter from Susan Hambro. A wet Thursday day– Missie came to tea & brought a little boy with her—so I left them after tea & went out to drive with Henry. We took a couple of turns in the Fuente on foot & came home at 7. Practised till dinner. In the evening played the piano & harmonium. It appears that the kitten has been eating cotton—Hill found he brought up a lot—also tea leaves. | |
