14 June 1874 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 14th June [1874]. I went to church in the morning. Henry gave me a French note to copy for him wh took some time. Nicholas called & Esquivel came & brought a picture to shew us that he had done & went up to see my painting. At 6 we went out driving & took a turn in the Fuente. Genl Lopez Dominguez, Moret, Monteverde, the MacDonells, Carretero, Maffei, Riaño dined with us. It was very hot. | |
