Saturday. 4th July [1874]. I went out driving with the M & she took me to pay visits & I saw the Sickles family. We dined with the Rates who were quite alone & afterwards went in to Lady Wm Russell where we met Hayward, the Comyns, de Peyronnets &c. Decided to go to Lady Ripon’s fancy ball. | |
