22 July 1874 — Venice | |
Wednesday. 22nd [July 1874]. Were called at 7 & went to Lido by 8 o’cl: steamer taking tea & bread & butter before. The steamer was crowded. I enjoyed the bath very much & we came back by the 10 o’cl steamer. We breakfasted at 11. In the afternoon we went to Salviati’s taking Dentoni & Giovanni with us & when I came home I was rather tired & had to lie down & have a cup of tea. Piazza after dinner at 7.30. | |
