2 August 1874 — Venice | |
Sunday. 2nd [August 1874]. Henry went alone to the Lido. I got up by his return for breakfast. Wrote some letters. At 2 we went with Cortellazzo to see an inkstand of his work at the Quirini club—& saw one of the same kind of work by a certain Codemma. Left some cards & went to call on Brown. Came home at 4—had tea & painted. Cortellazzo dined with us. We went to Piazza after dinner it was not easy to get a chair—it was crowded. | |
