4 August 1874 — Venice | |
Tuesday. 4th [August 1874]. We neither of us went to bathe & I took a dose of castor oil & did not go out all day– Henry went with Castellani to Murano. I made a study of 2 boats in the canal. Had a lesson in painting. After dinner we took a long row round by the Giudecca & the grand canal. | |
