6 August 1874 — Venice | |
Thursday. 6th [August 1874]. Went early to Lido with Dentoni & bathed with Vidoni. The Pss made me swim out with her a little way to where there is a sand bank & where the water was much warmer. It was delicious. Henry was up when I returned we breakfasted– I rested & then dressed & we went to be photod at Vianelli’s– We then went Salviati’s to meet the Vidoni party. Painted till dinner. In the evening we went to Css Marcellos. Met there a quiet young Englishman who is working at library here Mr [illegible word] Munro. | |
