11 August 1874 — Venice | |
Tuesday. 11th [August 1874]. Went to Lido for bath. In the afternoon early Henry went off to Murano with Castellani. I stayed at home & wrote letters. At 4 I went to the Campo Trovaso to begin painting what I had yesterday sketched & my old master met me there. I stayed till 6 & then returned home. Found that Morelli had arrived. He dined with us and we afterwards went to the Piazza to take our ices. We met Sr Frizzoni there– Came home abt 10. | |
