28 August 1874 — Venice | |
Friday. 28th [August 1874]. Mme Marcello called on us to bid us good bye & we started by the 10.30 train—very sorry that our stay at Venice had come to an end. At Verona we fell in with Morelli & M. Frizzoni & went with them. They left us at Bergamo & we went on to Milan where they promised to join us tomorrow. We took a walk in the eveng & took ices in the Gallery. | |
