30 August 1874 — Milan | |
Sunday. 30th [August 1874]. We went to the Duomo in the morning where we met Morelli & walked with him to Cova’s where we breakfasted à la Milannaise– Afterwards we walked to the Brera where we saw an Exn of horrible modern pictures as well as the old. Then he took us to Count Boldi’s house to see his pictures of which has some very fine. Dined at table. After dinner we had a visit from V. Consul Kelly– We went to Cova’s after dinner with Morelli. He took leave of us as he leaves early tomorrow morning. | |
