31 August 1874 — Milan | |
Monday. 31st [August 1874]. I took a walk with Henry in the morng. Scalabrini, Cortellazzo’s old apprentice, called to see if Henry wd order anything of him– Henry told him he cd not & asked him why he had behaved badly to Cortellazzo. Lunched at 1. & went to station by 2 accompanied by V.C. Kelly. We went to Turin & got there abt 6.30 dined & went to bed. Got a telegram from Dragonettis saying they would come in to see us from Moncalieri tomorrow at 7. | |
