Sunday. 11th [October 1874]. Read Mrs Somerville’s memoirs. Had rather a headache but still in the afternoon we drove to Caravanchel to call on Mme Montijo & then came home & rested till dinner. The sun was too hot to bear on ones head going to Caravanchel. | |
