18 January 1875 — Madrid | |
Monday. 18th [January 1875]. Painted all the morning. At 3.15 went out to see Clarita. Found her better on a mattress on the floor so promised to send her a sofa. Went on to the Retiro & met Henry. We walked together there. Went to see Dss de la Torre & saw her. Took Henry to Koudriaffsky’s. A few people came in the eveng. The Canelaux, Phipps & Bernars besides some more. Gato de Lema put in an appearance much to our disgust. | |
