24 January 1875 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 24th January [1875]. I did not go out. Wrote &c. Old Mr Aylton called on us. M. & Mme E. Pollock, the Phipps Ludolf Mr Gayangos, Vicomte de Semallé Mr Gosling, Maffei dined with us. In the evening we went to Mme Montijos & saw a great many people– The Bazaines were there & met the Marquses d’Acapulco wh have been away the last 3 years. | |
