27 January 1875 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 27th [January 1875]. Woke with a headache but got up up. Koudriaffsky called after breakfast. I was obliged to keep on the sofa all day. Maffei called late. After dinner we called for the Ayltons & went to the Bedmars in Mr Herodias house next Mariquilla’s. A great many people & a house full of pretty things good pictures &c – | |
