28 April 1875 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 28th April [1875]. When I got up found Miss Bentley here who came to say she had found a place as companion to a lady. Painted. Visit from Genl Concha. To day the Cook’s daughter was married & they had a dinner at a restaurant in the Retiro. Henry & I drove there & walked & tried to find the wedding party but in vain. In the eveng we went to the d’Antas but did not stay late. | |
