29 May 1875 — En route to Genoa | |
Saturday. 29th [May 1875]. It blew a whole gale. I tottered up late & found it raining. The sailors made a sheltered place both for Hill & me & I stayed on deck in spite of rain & wind. Towards eveng it calmed down & I was able to go & dine with Capt Iago. Sat & read & talked in the cabin. | |
