4 June 1875 — Baveno | |
Friday. 4th June [1875]. We started abt 6 morning– Lunched at Milan & then met Morelli who came to see us & is going to Rome before he comes to us at Venice. We got to Venice abt 8 & Mr Brown’s Toni met us & our own gondola with Caetano the gondolier recommended by Mme Hurtado. Found our house pretty comfortable. Glad to have dinner & go to bed. | |
