6 June 1875 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 6th [June 1875]. Arranged my room & breakfasted at 11. Had a solemn visit from Fratelli Malcolm. We went to pay a visit to Mr Brown & at 6 went to the Canareggio to see the procession of the Corpus wh was put off from Last Sunday on acct of the rain. There were a great many handsome Venetian women with her done very picturesquely. The procession was nothing wonderful but the whole effect was picturesque. We dined at 7.30 & after to Piazza. | |
