29 June 1875 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 29th [June 1875]. We went to Lido to bathe. At 2 we were fetched by Brown & went in all solemnity to be introduced to the Mocenigo family who live almost opposite. The Css is an Austrian & very agreeable. We afterwards went to call on Mme Pisani & sat some time with her. In the eveng there was a thunderstorm & we cd not go out. Count Pisani came to see us at 9 o’cl. | |
