Friday. 6th [August 1875]. Wrote letters. At 12.30 went to see Mrs Austin & from her to lunch at the Somers. Ld S. was away met Duff Gordons, Mr Dalrymple, Sir Coutts Lindsay. At 3 the M’s carriage met us & we fetched the M at the work school & drove to Roehampton. They dropped me & Henry & the M. went on to Richd to call on Russells. I stayed with Maria saw the twins & had tea. At 6 we left & returned to London. Henry & I went & dined with the Drakes & met the Tom Bruces. | |
