17 August 1875 — Aldermaston Court, Aldermaston, Berkshire | |
Tuesday. 17th August [1875]. Miss Thompson left. Dr Buckland arrived with a celebrated bird catcher Mr Davies. Mrs Ross came. In the afternoon we went into the Park to see if any birds could be caught but none were caught. I went for a drive with Mrs Burr round the walls of Silchester. A Mr & Mrs Portal country neighbours came over to dine & sleep. Dr Hooker & Mr Fergusson came. | |
