4 September 1875 — Milton Court, nr. Dorking, Surrey | |
Saturday. 4th [September 1875]. Made a view of the house in the morning. A lot of people came to lunch viz 2 Miss Barclays, Sir Waller, Lady Mary & Charlie Farquhar, Mr F. Leveson Gower. When they were all gone we took a drive to a place called ? Friday Strait where we made a fire had tea. It is a lovely spot where there is a pond with trout in a little valley. It is close to Wotton. We walked part of the way home thro’ the Wotton woods. | |
