30 November 1875 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 30th [November 1875]. It was a pouring wet day & there was no possibility of going out. Sr De Blas breakfasted with us. I unpacked the box wh arrived from England containing things for the Christmas tree. Wrote a long letter to Mr Ffrench. The rain turned to snow in the afternoon but it did not lie on the ground & it did not snow long. It was very cold. | |
