6 December 1875 — Madrid | |
Monday. 6th [December 1875]. Painted in the morng & went out with Henry in the afternoon. The weather was bitter cold as we walked in the Retiro & there were very few people there. The messenger has not arrived & Henry has decided to send off Mr Kennedy tomorrow with the despatches I copied for Henry before dinner– In the eveng usual reception. Mmes D’Antas, Moret & Hunt came. My head ached again & I was glad to get to bed. | |
