8 December 1875 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 8th [December 1875]. The messenger (Ball) arrived & brought me Connie’s painted photo & 6 china menu tablets as a present from Arthur. I got up late & was on sofa in my boudoir all day. Mrs Scarlett called to see me. Also the Greindls & later Bernardine Aylton. Today being the “Conception” it is the fête of all the Conchas & so Henry went in the eveng to the Serranos to felicitate their eldest girl. | |
