20 January 1876 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 20th [January 1876]. Wrote letters to send by the Messenger (Leeds) & copied for Henry & did not go out– In the eveng Henry did not seem very well. I had a harmonium brought– Emilia came at 6 & we played duetts till dinner. Mr Sartoris dined but Henry hardly spoke at dinner & tho’ we played the harmonium & piano in the eveng with Mr Sartoris till 11 Henry took little part– | |
