20 June 1876 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 20th June [1876]. Went to Lido to bathe with Henry. At 2 went with Mrs Burr to S. Trovaso to paint till 5. Visits from Mr Brown & Mr Malcolm in morng. Mr Malcolm brought me 2 pieces of red silk for galleries of curtains. At 6 the Edens called & after them Señor Gonzalvo the Span: Painter of Interiors. He offered to give me hints in perspective & begged me to go & paint at S. Marks’. After dinner we all went to Piazza to walk & then to the Giardinetto to hear the band & take ices. | |
