13 July 1876 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 13th [July 1876]. Cold in my head & no bathing. Painted & finished up the flowers I began at Baveno. Brown called. At 2 I went to St Marks & fetched home my sketch of the chapel of St Isidoro & brought Gonzalvos to finish mine by. Painted at home till dinner. Css Marcello, the Edens & Dr Richetti dined with us & stayed late. We took them a row in gondola. | |
