14 July 1876 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 14th [July 1876]. It was still cold & rather rough but Hill & I went to bathe & met the Marcellos as we came away. At 2 I went to S. Trovaso to go on with my sketch of the Contarini Palace & stayed till 5. After dinner we went to Piazza to hear the band play—of young musical students. | |
