Wednesday. 23rd August [1876]. I practised songs in the morning & wrote letters. Mr Burton went away. I began sketch of an oak in the Park. After tea Henry & I played Bull till dinner time. Mr Rolls & the Squire went to a garden party at the vine. In the evening there was whist. The Mays left abt 3. | |
