29 September 1876 — Madrid | |
Friday. 29th September [1876]. The Messenger arrived from Eng: The boxes of stores tea &c arrived. Busy morng arranging china & cabinets. The Ayltons came to see me abt 2. Henry went to the Museum to meet Sir Hy & Miss Thompson. Mr Kennedy came up to tea. At 5 I went out driving with Henry to leave cards. Played backgammon in eveng. | |
