24 November 1876 — Madrid | |
Friday. 24th November [1876]. Painted– Took Mr & Mrs B. out driving & took them to see the inside of the Atocha—the Virgin—& Prim’s tomb & then we dropped Mr Bruce near the Retiro that he might take a walk. As soon as we got home we had a visit from Moret & the Marquis of Salamanca—& afterwards Ida Bauer came. In the eveng Henry took Mr Bruce to Canovas being his eveng of reception. Mrs B & I made cigarettes. | |
