26 November 1876 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 26th November [1876]. Went to church morning & afternoon with Mrs Bruce– Henry had telegram from Morier at Lisbon asking if he thought if d’Antas was appointed to London where Saldanha had died it would be a good thing. D’Antas came at 5 to see Henry & sound him about it. We had the usual Legation dinner & besides Baron Weisweiller & Sr Monteverde. | |
