2 June 1877 — Therapia | |
Saturday. 2nd [June 1877]. Today we keep the Queen’s birthday. Count Zichy came up in state in his despatch boat all dressed up to call & stayed luncheon with us. I dined early & alone & there was a dinner of 30 to the English colony. In the eveng I received and a good many of the corps diplomatique & the English at Therapia came & we had a pleasant eveng. Refreshments were given in the dining room after the dinner was cleared away. All went off well. | |
