24 June 1877 — Therapia | |
Sunday. 24th [June 1877]. We had the usual service & Miss Boyd came over from Candilli to play the organ. In the afternoon Dr Sorrell came & tried to persuade me to join our society for the wounded to the Red Crescent wh we refused to do. Went out in the big caique with Henry, Miss B, Kennedy, Elliot, the Adl & the Genl over to the Sultans valley & took a walk up to the small Sultan’s Kiosque, but could not go far as rain threatened & we took a row round by Buyukderé home. Lady Kemball, Mlle Ehrenhoff, the Adl, Ken: Ash, Smijth, Pisani, the Genl Sand: Elliott, Miss Boyd dined with us. Miss Boyd slept here. | |
