14 August 1877 — Therapia
Tuesday. 14th [August 1877]. Woke up with a tremendous thunderstorm wh lasted a couple of hours. We all felt rather décousu & tired & I had neuralgia in the teeth. We worked at making bolster covers & made 24. I had a Turkish lesson. At about 3 Mrs Hanson left & Miss Boyd went out & took Miss Bilinsky who came to stay a few days with us. I walked in the garden with Henry. It came on to rain so we came in. I wrote to Sir T. Biddulph abt the cases sent by the Q. & then practised singing till dinner & when Miss Boyd came in she joined in. There was another thunderstorm during dinner. Mr Elliot dined– Made bandages & I sang.
