20 November 1877 — Therapia | |
Tuesday. 20th [November 1877]. Mr Bartlett left. A lovely day. Cut out all the morng garments. lunched at 1.30. Turcan Bey, the new Turkish Minister at Rome lunched with us. He is only 30 & already Minister. He is tall dark agreeable with a somewhat Jewish nose. 2 English ladies came from Bebek to ask me to help their Dorcas society. Played lawn tennis. | |
