6 January 1878 — Constantinople | |
Sunday. 6th January [1878]. I went to church in the morng. It was very cold & as I was not feeling very well I could not go to the evening service which began at 5.30 & was the first eveng service ever held here. The Embassy, 2 student Dragomen & Messrs Keating & Smith dined with us. | |
